This year, to have the most restorative new year possible, I’m investing in Buffy’s beloved bedsheets for myself.
I’m a big fan of celebrating New Year’s. I eat it all up: the champagne, the sparkles, the melancholic nostalgia for days gone by, the feeling of flipping the page on the year and starting anew… This year, instead of setting impossible resolutions for myself, I’ve decided to turn my bedroom into the cozy haven I deserve.
The first thing I’m upgrading this year is my bedding—with a durable, comfortable, affordable and sustainably-made Sheet Set from Buffy.

My Buffy Meet-Cute
So, I was on a train to Vienna…just kidding. I was actually in bed, proceeding to my virtual cart with yet another set of the same Target-brand sheets I’ve been buying for years now. (In retrospect, that in itself is an issue—why did they continuously wear out so quickly?) A banner on the side of my screen was promoting Buffy, so I left my tab, did a bit of Googling, and ultimately decided that the gods of sleep were with me and planted the ad on purpose.
Buffy is a bedding brand with accolades out the wazoo and a unique devotion to supporting the planet. Almost every review mentions that Buffy’s products are extremely soft and comfortable. And not in that low-quality faux-quality way that means they’ll be pilling in a week. Their sourcing and production methods follow strict sustainability and quality standards, and the end result is excellent-quality bedding that feels great and lasts forever.
Buffy makes sheet sets, comforters, pillows, blankets… really everything your bed could ever need. I had my eyes on the Buffy Sheet Set, which comes with a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, and two pillowcases. You can add on a Duvet Cover if you’d like, which I did. (I also got myself the Cloud Comforter to go inside of it because… new year, new bedding.)
Buffy has not one, not two, but three different fabric options to choose from. If you’re in the market for some new sheets (which, let’s be honest, you should be), here’s everything you need to know about Buffy’s cotton, eucalyptus, and linen Sheet Sets.
Good Old Classic Cotton
If you’re someone who values tradition, you probably have cotton sheets. I always have (up until very recently). And of course Buffy carries them, but these aren’t your average set. Buffy’s Cloud Sheets are made with cotton that is ethically sourced, gets softer with every use, and has proven itself to last longer than competitors. Part of the reason for their durability is that they’re made with extra long-staple cotton, which means the fibers are longer and the product is more luxurious in feeling. And isn’t that the point of sheets, to feel good?
Another pro is that they’re breathable, which cannot be said of all cotton sheets. Buffy’s Cloud Sheets range in price from $95 to $155, according to which size you choose (they range from Twin to California King).
Easy-Breezy Beautiful, Buffy
The “Breeze” line of Buffy Sheets is like the Beyonce of the brand… swimming in accolades. Some titles include “Best Bed Sheets of 2023” (Architectural Digest and Glamour) and “Best Sustainable Bedding Product of 2023” from Refinery29. I could go on. Buffy Breeze sheets are made out of eucalyptus-based TENCEL™ lyocell fabric, which means they’re both moisture-wicking and 100% biodegradable.
The texture of the fabric is silk-like, so it’s extremely soft to the touch and lightweight yet durable, and they get softer with every use. I also read on the website that they’ve been tested and found to last for over 255 washes (at least 7 years in the average home). The Breeze Sheets cost between $189 and $219, with the same range of size options as cotton.
I’m Living for Linen
Last but certainly not least are Buffy’s Linen Sheets, which, judging on the product photos, make every bedroom look like an artist’s loft with just the right amount of lived-in charm. In classic Buffy fashion (I feel like I know these guys!) they use premium long-staple fibers, which makes these sheets highly durable and comfortable. Most linen bedding is made with flax linen, which is draining on the environment both in harvesting and processing. Hemp linen (the type that Buffy uses) promotes biodiversity, enriches soil, and absorbs 5x more CO2 than its counterpart.
Like the Breeze Sheets, these get softer with every use. That’s a foreign concept to me, as I’ve watched my sheets diminish in quality with every wash for as long as I can remember. The Linen Sheet Sets are priced from $279 to $299. Unlike the other two lines of sheets, the smallest size for these sets is Full (so no Twin or Twin XL).
Ultimately… (drum roll) I placed my order for the Linen Sheet Set. I got them in the bold shade “Pimento,” a tomato red that feels equal parts calming and powerful. The quality of materials and beauty of the final product were what ultimately sold me, although the same can be said for the Breeze and Cloud sheets. See what I mean? A very difficult decision.
Buffy Bedding Has It *All*
We all know this already: and great night’s rest has a massive impact on how you move through the day. And if you wanna wake up rested and ready to crush those New Year’s resolutions, you deserve the best quality sheets that make you feel like you’re wrapped up in a cocoon and lull you into deep sleep (although, these sheets will last a lot longer than your resolutions do).
If you’re on the fence, get this: Buffy has a 7-day free trial. It works exactly how it sounds—order any product(s) you’d like, and sleep on them for up to a week. If satisfied, then you don’t have to do anything but keep them. And if for any reason you want to swap or return them, you can do so for free. The best part? You won’t be charged until the end of your trial. There’s really no reason not to join me in welcoming this new year the right way, by treating yourself to the restorative experience of fresh bedding.
