Whenever I Give in to a Trend, I’m Rarely Glad I Did…
As much as I wish I could take credit for uncovering this gem of a beauty device, I wasn’t first to the game. Since the very beginning, Solawave has been soaking up praise from outlets across the industry—both Women’s and Men’s Health, Allure, USA Today, People, and Glamour. That’s not to mention the growing list of celebrities whose makeup artists swear by the wand… Jennifer Coolidge, Kaley Cuoco, and Vanessa Hudgens (to name just a few). It is a 7x award-winning piece of skincare technology, after all.
Solawave’s products are priced for the average at-home practitioner, as an alternative to high-end (high-priced) salons. The trick? They’re developed by the very same experts who work in said salons. Red light treatments can run up to $40 per session, whereas the 4-in-1 Radiant Renewal Skincare Wand is $169 (USD) and can be recharged for multiple sessions a week. You can see why I was intrigued…
My Smoothing, Brightening, Magic Wand
Despite watching at least 30 minutes’ worth of TikTok content reviewing Solawave’s 4-in-1 Radiant Renewal Skincare Wand, I carefully read the instructions myself. It has (surprise!) 4 key components:
- Red Light Therapy
- Galvanic Current
- Therapeutic Warmth
- Facial Massage
The accompanying pamphlet highlights the best areas to target with the wand: under your eyes, your forehead, cheeks, and neck. I also bought the Activating Serum, which helps the wand seamlessly glide along (they actually sell them together now, in the 4-in-1 Radiant Renewal Skincare Wand & Activating Serum Kit). The instructions suggested applying the wand for 5 minutes at a time to start. Luckily, my skin adapted very quickly, so by the third use I was going at it for close to fifteen minutes.
My puffy under eyes have been particularly prominent as of late, so this month I’ve been targeting that area, but I like to pop around. When I first started using the wand, my biggest priority was my neck. I love knowing that I have full control over where I give my skin the red light treatment.
Solawave Ages Like a Fine Wine
Every year, Solawave gains even more recognition: licensed aestheticians vouch for its quality, as do publications (Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan) and everyday consumers (like me). The wand itself continues to evolve, too. In early 2023, Solawave dropped a new edition of the 4-in-1 Radiant Renewal Skincare Wand with an on/off button, extra lights, and a different type of current—one intended to improve absorption into the skin. It also produces therapeutic warmth and facial massage, which (as you can imagine) makes the whole experience even more evocative of a trip to the spa.
Solawave Got Under My Skin
It’s exhausting to live in a world where people are constantly selling tools for improvement. Because I love skincare, every social media algorithm feeds me product reviews, and to preserve some semblance of savings, I’ve had to be very particular about who I trust. Uncovering a timeless, tried-and-true product like the 4-in-1 Radiant Renewal Skincare Wand makes it all worth it.
The hype surrounding Solawave’s at-home red light therapy treatments isn’t just talk: these guys are the real deal. Long story short? My skin has been noticeably lifted, depuffed, and extra glowy since December of 2020. It’s not a coincidence that that’s the month I was introduced to Solawave.
Try the 4-in-1 Radiant Renewal Skincare Wand to experience the (very justified) hype first-hand.
