I’ve Finally Reclaimed My Bed
One of my all time favorite purchases of all of last year has been my chunky weighted blanket from Bearaby. It’s stretchy, soft and suuuper durable (not to mention great for my anxiety).
The only issue: it’s also quickly become my dog’s favorite weighted blanket. If I leave it alone for even 5 minutes, my beloved golden doodle Tate is there in a heartbeat, claiming the soothing snuggles for himself. He’s lucky he’s so cute…
Apparently, this is a problem that many other dog moms struggle with. Bearaby’s tagged Instagram photos are full of pics from pet parents like me—with snuggly pups who can’t get enough of their cozy weighted blankets.
That’s why when Bearaby announced they were venturing into the world of dog beds, I immediately rushed to get one. And I have to say, 2 weeks in, Tate is loving the bed even more than I had imagined. He hardly ever leaves it!
So for all my dog lovers out there, I cannot recommend the Pupper Pod enough. And for those who haven’t been #blessed by a Bearaby product, let me break down what’s so amazing about this company.
Why the Internet Loves Bearaby
If I had to summarize Bearaby in three words, they would be quality, comfort and sustainability. The company is equally committed to all three values, producing only the highest quality products—both in terms of user enjoyment and environmental impact.
While Bearaby is best-known for their Cotton Napper—a gorgeous, stress-relieving weighted blanket made from organic cotton—they also have a cooling eucalyptus-based Napper line and a collection made with cozy “eco-velvet,” made from recycled plastic. After perfecting the weighted blanket, they created huggable knotted pillows, called Huggets, plus a super snuggly body pillow called the Cuddler.
And the people have responded overwhelming positively. Not only has Bearaby amassed thousands of 5-star reviews on their website, but they’ve received praise from everyone from Bloomberg and the Sleep Foundation to Business Insider and Vogue.
The consensus? Bearaby’s calming products help users unwind, relax, and achieve the most blissful sleep of their lives.
Now due to popular demand, they’ve finally expanded their line of superior quality to their first ever pet product. I know that if my dog could type, he’d be even more excited about his new napping haven than I am. But, since here dogs don’t have opposable thumbs, here are my five favorite things about the Pupper Pod:
1. (Almost) As Cute As My Dog
Tate has been through his fair share of dog beds, and I can say without a doubt that the Pupper Pod is the cutest one he’s ever had. I’m not sure if it’s the gorgeous color (I went for the Midnight Blue color to match my blanket) or the chunky braided detail, but I do know that looking over from under my Bearaby to see little Tate snuggling on his just makes my heart melt.
While most other dog beds I’ve bought have been shoved into a dark corner, the Pupper Pod is freaking adorable, and chic enough that it almost looks like home decor.
2. Comfier Than a Cloud
Made from all-natural plant-based Melofoam and covered in soft, breathable cotton, the Pupper Pod is the Tempur-Pedic of dog beds. TL;DR; this thing is seriously comfy.
Or at least that’s what I think every time I see Tate curl up and immediately sink into his and rest his head on the chunky links. While I (unfortunately) am too big to fit into it, all it takes is one push against the plush foam to feel that this doggie bed is a serious upgrade to any other ones I’ve bought him.
Plus, during the summer, Tate is a super hot sleeper (yep, dogs can be hot sleepers just like people, especially if they have a thick coat). Since this bed is made from breathable Melofoam, Tate can stay cool and comfy all year long!
3. Wear and Tear-Proof
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve hesitated to buy an expensive dog bed knowing I’ll have to spend another $100+ in 6 months once Tate decides to destroy it. And that’s before he drags every dirt particle in existence onto the cover…
That’s why I absolutely love that the Pupper Pod has a removable, machine-washable cotton cover and a waterproof inner cover—meaning accidents and spills will only ever reach the removable layer.
Plus—like all things Bearaby—these beds are built to last. The woven design is not only Instagrammable, but structurally very durable. My weighted blanket shows virtually no signs of use after two years of human and doggie snuggles, making me very optimistic about how long this one will last us.
4. Pet and Planet-Friendly
One of my favorite things about Bearaby is their commitment to sustainability and cruelty-free products. The Pupper Pod is made with plant-based materials certified by the Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS) to have the highest environmental and social standards for natural rubber.
On top of being friendly to the planet, the Pupper Pod is also chew-safe. Tate loves to chew on things, so one of my worst fears is giving him a toy or bedding that’s full of toxic chemicals. That’s why it was super important to me that Bearaby uses highly-regarded OEKO-TEX-certified cotton, ensuring every fiber of the cotton cover is free of toxins or harmful chemicals.
5. A Perfect Pup-Parent Present
Finally the Pupper Pod makes for a truly special and unique gift for the person in your life who cares more about their dog than about themself. While treats and toys are perfectly nice, a Pupper Pod is a gift they’ll be talking about for years to come.
Bearaby currently has two options available: a $199 small size for breeds like Yorkies, Pomeranians, and Malteses, and a $239 medium size for breeds like Pugs, Poodles, and French Bulldogs. Cats love it too!
Upgrade Your Home to a Doggie Palace
I’ve come to realize that there are zero people who bring me as much joy as my dog, so I’ll do everything I can to make sure he’s as happy as can be. And if you’re like me, then your pup’s comfort is 100% worth every penny. Comfy, durable and cute-as-can-be, the Pupper Pod is the easiest way to upgrade your dog’s comfort (while saving your Napper for human use).
Fair warning: the Pupper Pod is in such high demand, it might not be in stock for long. Bearaby offers free shipping and a 30-day “try it” policy, so in the off chance that your dog doesn’t love it, there’s no risk.
Don’t miss out on your opportunity to snag your favorite color while it’s still available—and treat your pup to the gift of blissful snuggles with a Bearaby Pupper Pod.
