I Found a Miracle on Bleecker Street…
If you’re anything like me, the two weeks before Christmas are anything but relaxing. Between wrapping up the end of year at work and trying to find gifts for everyone on my list (while ideally maintaining some of my savings), the holiday season can feel like a mad dash.
So when my friend told me Bearaby is having a limited-time ‘Wintrovert’s Wonderland’ popup in the Whalebone store at 328 Bleecker Street where I could both knock out my holiday gifting and take a breather from the stress of the SoHo shopping rush…I was immediately sold.
The popup is open until mid-January, but Bearaby is hosting festive (and cozy) events all throughout December. Here are the dates you need to know:
🎁 December 7th: Bearaby’s Birthday (11am—7pm) 🎁
Celebrate Bearaby’s 4th birthday with cake, free gift wrapping, and giveaways.
🐶 December 10th: Muddy Paws Adoption (12—3pm) 🐶
Snuggle with dogs from Muddy Paws canine rescue (and maybe bring one home).
🎄 December 15th: Holiday Movie Night (7—9pm) 🎄
Cozy up under a Bearaby blanket and watch Elf on the big screen.
😴 December 17th: Chat With a Sleep Expert (12—4pm) 😴
Dr. Janet Kennedy will be in-store answering questions about sleep.
A Wintrovert’s Wonderland, Indeed
Bearaby was actually one of my best pandemic finds. They’re best known for their sustainably-made, aesthetics-on-point weighted blankets that help soothe stress and anxiety. Over the last year, though, they’ve dropped a ton of other products like knotted pillows (which I’ve been eyeing 👀) and even super cute dog beds.
I’m obsessed with my weighted blanket already, so I could only imagine how cozy a winter popup from them would be. Just when I was ready to collapse from my third straight hour of pushing through crowds, I peaced out at Rag & Bone and made my way to the Whalebone store at 328 Bleecker Street to enjoy a nice rest and decompress.
Here’s What I Stumbled Into:
Relaxation pods with giant beanbag chairs, Bearaby blankets and pillows, and headphones to block out the city noise.
Bearaby products, galore. There are weighted blankets in all colors and fabrics, squashy knotted pillows, snuggly body pillows, and Bearaby’s new dog beds as far as the eye can see—plus weighted sweaters called “Napigans,” which aren’t even available online! I already have the Cotton Napper, but after feeling the silky-soft Velvet Napper, it skyrocketed to the top of my wish list.
A hot cocoa bar (with marshmallows if you say please). Instant Polar Express vibes.
A festive AF holiday photo booth. My friend and I had a liiiiittle bit too much fun with this one. There’s nothing like some good old-fashioned holiday cheer.
The Party’s Happening All Month Long
I popped in on a random day and ended up snagging gifts for more than a few people on my list, but I’ll definitely be going back for the events Bearaby is hosting throughout the month—especially the dog adoption event on December 10th. If I can’t go home with a puppy, best believe I’m going home with a Hugget.
Since the popup is open through mid-January, no need to stress if you’re looking for a last-minute gift before heading home for the holidays. It’s also the perfect opportunity to treat yourself with the cash your grandma slips you on Christmas morning. 😉
If you’re craving a relaxing break from the holiday shopping marathon, do yourself a favor and stop by the Bearaby popup inside Whalebone at 328 Bleecker Street.
