If you’re ready for the best canned drink you’ve ever tasted (yes, you read that right), look no further…
I wouldn’t say I’m a canned bev connoisseur, but I’ve certainly enjoyed my fair share of them, and I’d like to think that I’m pretty well aware of what’s a keeper and what’s a hard pass.
Since summer is on its last legs (I’m not crying you’re crying), I’ve had plenty of time to do my “research” – new ones, old ones, weird ones – you name it, I’ve tried it. And to be honest, I’m thoroughly unimpressed. None of the canned bevs I’ve tried have felt like the one I would keep in my fridge, bring to the parties, and call “my drink.”
On August 17th, a new canned bev entered the arena: Spritz Society. The second the site was live, I ordered myself a variety pack, and practically waited at the door until they arrived (very quick shipping I might add).
Once they arrived, I tasted each flavor, and it was love at first sip. Here’s why:
1. Unique and delicious flavors
Okay, wow. Talk about mouth-watering. It’s literally watering as I type this. Spritz Society comes in four epic flavors: grapefruit, blood orange, lemonade and pineapple. They’re all wine based sparkling cocktails with a touch of effervescence and a ton of flavor. They each have such a unique taste, with absolutely no soapy aftertaste like most canned bevs, and they truly make me feel fancy even if I’m sipping them in my pjs on the coach.
Grapefruit is like a refreshing rush of citrus, blood orange is really bold and kind of tastes like an aperol spritz, lemonade brings me all the bbq vibes but is very elevated, and pineapple is a tropical blast. I couldn’t even pick a favorite – they’re all SO GOOD. I let my boyfriend try them too – reluctantly because I didn’t want to share – and for someone who doesn’t love seltzer-type drinks, he was a huge fan. Hello new beach necessity.
2. An option for everyone
Obviously taste and flavors are my most important priority, but what’s better? How incredible the options are. So my first order (yes, I’ve already ordered more) was the variety pack. 3. Nothing like the Spritz Squad
One of the coolest parts about Spritz Society is that it was literally created by the fans. The co-founder and CEO, @boywithnojob, has a huge following on Instagram, along with his wife and her sister, @girlwithnojob and @jackieoshry, who run the podcast The Morning Toast. They were able to use their audiences to ask questions about the product like flavor, ABV, packaging, and more, to get a feel for what the crowd wanted that was missing in the canned bev market. They didn’t just come up with an idea and decide to make it happen, they had an idea and wanted to include their fans in the process to make something that everyone truly wanted.
I’m not gonna sit here and point fingers, but if you were anything like me, you’re still searching for your perfect canned cocktail and have yet to find the one that really hits the spot.
